Meredith Morris (aka "Ms. Mo") is a proud fourth generation English teacher on her mother’s side. When she was a child, she would line up desks, create assignments, and try to teach neighborhood children who — for some reason — didn't really want to sit still in the Albuquerque sun for summer school lessons. In addition to her passion for education, Meredith is fiercely committed to social and racial justice; she attended law school with the intention to serve as a criminal defense attorney. After law school, she taught at a small university in northern New Mexico and, true to her childhood dreams and maternal DNA, fell in love with teaching.

Meredith loves the hum of a busy classroom where all minds are engaged. She strives to prepare each student with critical thinking and writing tools essential to all career paths, while also cultivating compassion, empathy, civil discussion skills, a sense of community, and joy in learning.

When Meredith isn't teaching, she is adventuring with her family. Together they travel, mountain bike, camp, ski, and laugh a lot. She delights in theatre, arts, and cultural events. Early in the morning, she can be found meditating with a cup of coffee and her adorable cat, Perci.
