Miriam Phinney is excited to return to Judge Memorial as a school counselor. A proud alumna of Judge ('87), Mrs. Phinney is eager to give back to the school that played a significant role in her own journey.

With a rich background in student support, Mrs. Phinney has dedicated most of her career to working with students. Her path includes work with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), where she served as a college minister for 20 years. During this time, she and her husband raised three children and had the opportunity to live in various locations, including a three-year stint in China. After returning to the U.S., Mrs. Phinney continued her work in education as a school counselor at Intermountain Christian School in Holladay, Utah for 10 years.

Mrs. Phinney is passionate about fostering a welcoming and supportive community that empowers students to explore new opportunities, develop their unique talents, and navigate challenges effectively. In her free time she enjoys playing board games with her husband, strolling through Red Butte Garden, and reading to her grandbabies.

Mrs. Phinney looks forward to contributing to the vibrant community at Judge Memorial and is always available to assist students, parents, and staff with any questions or concerns throughout the school year.
